Circular course ideal to enjoy with the family. It's simple, crossing one of the most beautiful and least known spots in Enkarterri.
We will leave Plaza San Miguel de Artzentales and head to Santa Cruz through a short section of asphalt to turn towards La Toba. To do this, we will follow a path through the forest that will leave us on the trail from Alén and Ventoso.
We will continue briefly to the district of Rebollar, passing through its Ermita de Las Nieves (hermitage) and we will take another path to the Pedreo River. After crossing the stream (in a very simple way), we reach the last section, which gives the route its name.
Leaving the track slightly to the left, we will enjoy the Altares waterfall (during the rainy season) to get back on track and continue climbing the trail beyond the Quintana water source. Before finishing the route at the starting point, we will also experience one of the great attractions of this route: the giant oak tree of San Miguel.
