Route available in two distances. With the Kadagua River in the background, unexplored lands to experience: a fortified city dating from the Second Iron Age, two medieval monumental sites, or the largest txakoli vineyard in the Basque Country. Climbing Mount Ubieta will give you the best views of the ancient Salcedo Valley.
Tepeyac will be the starting point to cross the forests that separate Otxaran from Zarikete, Ibarra and Gobeo. We will reach the monumental complex of Bolunburu to climb between the trails leading to La Brena before crossing a fortified city dating from the Iron Age, a strategic spot to take a break and enjoy the view.
In La Brena, the two routes separate. The short distance to Somokurtzio, while the long distance to Trosmosomos, Espaldaseca and Rioya between spectacular landscapes and mountains. The two distances will meet again in Somokurtzio to make way for new sections of fun trails before crossing Codujo, Soiano, Allendelagua.
