The route starts in Galdames, crosses Sodoor and, after crossing the height of Abellaneda —where we will find the emblematic building of the Casa de Juntas de Enkarterri—, descends to Balmaseda. From the first town in Bizkaia we will continue to Artziniega (Araba) between impossible curves and the most bucolic landscapes.
In Artziniega we will head to Orduña, the only municipality in Bizkaia that holds the title of city. Interestingly, it is located in Araba, outside the limits of the historical territory. Above its feet stands the imposing Sierra Salvada, which will be the backdrop for our journey back to Enkarterri. To do this, we will cross the Aiara Valley, with its wild landscapes, from Laudio to Okondo.
Once back in Enkarterri, we will leave behind Zaldu (Gordexola), Sodupe and Güeñes, and we will return to Galdames via the Humaran peak.
