The waters of the Kadagua River guide us on a journey full of surprises, charming corners and nature in abundance. You can cover most of it by following the “bidegorri” cycle lane parallel to the river, although there are small sections where you will have to get the main road.
The route starts from Alonsotegi and reaches Balmaseda, the first city founded in Biscay, after crossing the municipalities of Güeñes and Zalla. The road is patrolled by peaks such as Ganekogorta, Pagasarri or Eretza.
Between Alonsotegi and Güeñes, we will find a large number of tower houses, witnesses of the bloody medieval struggles. Before arriving at your destination, around the leisure area of Bolunburu (Zalla), you will find two monumental complexes and an old town dating from the Iron Age.
