We will leave Muskiz for La Arboleda, in the industrial heart of Biscay. The mountains of Triano will accompany us in the background as we visit this district of Trapagaran, where one of the best preserved mining towns in Europe is located. Countless mining remains will appear in our wake.
From there, we will head to Cruces and continue pedaling to Argalario, a modest 514m peak that, however, offers us very beautiful views of Ezkerraldea and allows us to see the sea. After descending it, we will head to Gallarta, in Abanto-Zierbena, where the Basque Country Mining Museum is located. Along the way, we'll find ancient open-air sites, such as the former Concha II mine, with its impressive cut. Others are now lakes and green spaces.
