This route will allow us to discover the Parque Natural de Armañon from one of the icons of Karrantza: El Suceso, where the bust of the Patron Saint of the valley is located.
From the Arena, we will gradually climb the track, between conifers and American oaks, with the aim of reaching the Sopena oak forest. After reaching the forest and crossing its path, we will follow the yellow-white marks until we leave it.
Then, we will turn into a rocky area to continue climbing to the heart of the Parque Natural de Armañon, in order to be located in the mountain range that will take us to the peaks of Los Parapetos, Armañon and La Peña de Sopena, a natural wall that protects against bad weather and generates a microclimate.
From there, we will gradually descend to the La Lama region, where we will have the opportunity to visit the La Lama dolmen before starting the last section of the PR-BI 121 trail, which will take us back to El Suceso.
