We divided the course into two levels: the green level, which is more accessible, without technical zones and with less slope, and the red level, which includes several technical segments. The two circuits, red and green, share the first 8 kilometers until the first reference: Zamaia and its cave, which we will reach after a gradual ascent along a path that crosses the ridge.
Leaving the neighboring town of Gonceda on our right, we will reach the start of the ascent to Ganekogorta, where the two circuits are permanently separated.
The green will continue along a trail that will take us to the PR100 trail before heading to the last summit (the Tontorra) and starting the descent to the Azordaiaga district.
On the contrary, the red one will surely face one of the most inclined sections of the whole challenge in the direction of the Ganekogorta peak, with its 1,000 m altitude. Of course, the spectacular views will reward the effort.
The descent should not mislead us, as it will force us to pay attention to where we are walking and the various rocky passages that we will find up to the crossroads that lead to the Azordaiga trail.
