Traslaviña La Garbea

We leave next to the Traslaviña church and carefully follow the road to Santelices until we reach the Vía Verde de los Montes de Hierro (Hierro Mountains Greenway) at Traslaviña station. We take another short segment of the road to access the Horcasitas district and reach El Garmo by a path. Then, downhill on asphalt to La Herbosa to reach a track that brings us closer to the path to the summit of La Garbea, the highest point of the route.

We continue on our way to Pico El Mojón and descend admiring the view of the Ermita de Kolitza (hermitage), Armañón and even the Cantabrian Asón Valley until we reach the La Porqueriza leisure area (an ideal place to enjoy the refreshment station or activated spring water).

After leaving the area, we join a sliding trail to a small junction on the right, next to a small sheepfold, and we leave from the Regomedo district along the Kolitza River.
