We start from the district of La Cuesta de Zierbena, where the town hall and the church of this coastal town are located. The road leading to Punta Lucero is perfectly marked by green arrows placed at ground level, so there are no losses. Shortly after the exit, we will find a fountain, turn left and start the ascent looking out to the sea.
The summit of Punta Lucero is not very high (307 m), but it offers a privileged view of La Arena beach (the largest beach in Biscay) and is dotted with remnants of war, such as bunkers, tunnels, and canyons. Most of them date back to the Second World War, fearing an Allied incursion.
