Half-distance course with a moderate slope that will allow you to discover all the charm of a region known as “Ilso” and to enjoy magnificent views of Enkarterri and other territories, such as Sierra Salvada, in Aiaralea.
The itinerary starts and ends in the Plaza de Allendelagua (Zalla), next to the social center, where we will have a watering hole. Crossing the road, we will turn left and head towards La Ermita de San Pantaleón (hermitage) along a paved road parallel to the route (we recommend taking a short detour). We will join the road for a few meters until we reach a path that marks the start of the ascent.
We will gradually climb through forests with small sections of the connecting track, to practically the base of the Ilso (km 3.2), along a magnificent path that will allow us to see the wooden turret located in the Ilso Lagoon. From here, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the most famous point that marks the summit: Ilso Egüen (km 4), where the belvedere is located.
From there, we will connect the rest of the “ilsos”, even passing through a cromlech on a trail until the end of this itinerary, after crossing the Rigadas and Somokurtzio points. We will reach the Codujo district and, on an paved road, we will reach the starting point again.
